The Short Version
LobsterLauncher is a desktop application that installs and configures OpenClaw on your computer. Your AI assistant runs entirely on your machine. We don't host your conversations, we don't see your files, and we don't track what your AI does. Your data stays yours.
What We Collect
Purchase Information
When you buy LobsterLauncher, Stripe (our payment processor) collects your email address and payment details. We receive your email and license key — we never see or store your full credit card number.
License Validation
When you activate your license key, the app makes a single API call to our server to verify the key is valid. This request includes the license key and a machine identifier. No personal data, conversations, or files are transmitted.
Update Checks
LobsterLauncher periodically checks for software updates. This request contains the app version number only.
What We Don't Collect

- ✗ Your API keys for AI providers
- ✗ Analytics, telemetry, or usage tracking
- ✗ Browsing history or cookies (we don't use cookies on lobsterlauncher.com)

Third-Party Services

Google Ads may be used for advertising. Google's privacy policy: policies.google.com/privacy
AI Providers (Anthropic, OpenAI, Google, etc.) — when your AI assistant makes API calls, those go directly from your computer to the provider. We are not a party to that relationship. Review each provider's privacy policy for how they handle your data.
Data Storage & Security
License keys and associated email addresses are stored in a secured database. We use encryption in transit (HTTPS) for all communications. Since we don't collect personal data beyond purchase information, there's very little to protect — which is the point.
Your Rights
You can request deletion of your purchase data at any time by emailing support@lobsterlauncher.com. Since we collect so little, there's usually not much to delete beyond your email and license record.
Children's Privacy
LobsterLauncher is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect information from children.
Changes to This Policy
We'll update this page if anything changes. Material changes will be announced on our website. The "Last updated" date at the top reflects the most recent revision.
